1963 MERCURY COMET S-22 SPORT PACKAGE FACTORY V8 RARE NICE CONDITION

Selling my 1963 Mercury Comet with rare S-22 sport package & factory original 260 V8 engine. The S-22 option package included factory bucket seats, enter floor console, pecial badging on body & interior, amp; added triple 'bullet' style taillights. This car also came with automatic transmission (2 speed cruisomatic), ower steering, amp; 3.25:1 rear end (8" Ford). I recently added a set of genuine Cragar aluminum (17x7) wheels & BF Goodrich G Sport Z rated radial tires. I saved the original 'granny' style 14" wheels & 2 hubcaps which go with the car.

This car has a nice original body with factory Blue Satin Metallic & Sultana White exterior colors. Every body panel is original with no major rust or collisions ever, amp; only one same color exterior repaint since new. Paint is considered decent driver grade with some minor chips & blemishes since it was done many years back. Door jambs & trunk area are still wearing original paint. This is a lifelong California car with the original black & yellow license plates. Vehicle has an excellent rust free understructure with absolutely nothing to hide. I have many more pictures of the underside & can email them to serious buyers upon request.

The bucket seat upholstery is original except the driver front which has been closely reproduced by an auto upholstery shop. Original factory NOS upholstery is available for this year / model / color by a company in Oregon but they wanted an arm & a leg so I passed. Carpet & headliner were redone also with correct colors. Door panels & weather stripping are showing signs of wear as they are over 50 years old. Overall interior & exterior still present nicely, nd vehicle can be enjoyed for many years just as it is.

Mechanically this vehicle has been well maintained in it's original93,700 miles. The front suspension & shocks were recently replaced along with a new single exhaust system. I have several receipts from prior owner which go with the car. One receipt indicated some engine maintenance including timing chain & gears. The car is safe & drives nice at any speed, amp; stops well considering the inferior factory manual drum brakes. Can be driven just like it is or put some bolt on performance on the factory V8 for added power.
