Description of 1963 Mercury Comet S22 Classic Hot Rod

1963 S22 MERCURY COMET VERY RARE ONLY 5,807 produced.New Blue Interior, I have new headliner not installed, new rear view mirror not installed, new sun visors and arms not installed. There is steering column shifter so it can be changed back from floor shifter which was installed backwards ie Park is all the way back, then Reverse, Nuetral, then Drive. It works fine but takes a little getting used to. If you are dyslexic maybe not.Low mileage 5.0 Mercury motor and AOD transmission. Power steering is old style ram type original. Dual exhaust. New tires. New windshield. This is a 2 door coupe no post. Bucket seats with console. Carpet is old non original. Have not had time to remove it. When it was up on rack for muffler upgrade I checked for rust and it looked good. It had four areas of very small rust spots toward the corners (I took pics a long time ago and will attempt to locate them). P O put metal pieces on floor don’t know why.jComet is very fast but adult driven. New Electric fuel pump and regulator possibly need synced will try to get mechanic to check it out minor situation. It has aluminum intake and Edelbrock four barrel carb with new air cleaner. I would change the trans mount configuration to the upgraded one on the internet. No radio as the PO covered the holes that were there. Heater works and windshield wipers. Have not used them because I haven’t driven in rain. Trunk has new liner. Extra parts for trading.Hood, doors and trunk have good alignment. Windows in doors work easy and rear window not as ez but work like they should. Door locks and trunk lock all work. Couple of dings in body see pics. Color is flat white primer/paint.
This car (Comet) is listed locally and may be sold before it hits reserve.
