Description of 1971 Mercury Cyclone |
Hello to all Ebayers!
"This Mercury Cyclone is in excellent condition. This is 1 of 444 made.It has 111,962 actual miles. This is a 1 owner car. It has never been painted (as seen in picture it has original paint). I have the original owner manual, original sale sheet, owner’s cards and receipts from where the car was bought. I have records showing maintenance from the day it was purchased. The car was bought from Fling Ford Company in LaGrange, Georgia on 1/16/1971. The car has a 351 motor that runs great, factory A.C. and power steering. It was ordered from factory with hood scoop. The trunk still has the spare tire and jack in it and is in excellent shape. The interior is in excellent shape, dash, door panels, seats and carpets are all perfect. Still has the factory radio, automatic on the column, all gauges work and has the original Mercury Hubcaps and Bias Tires. This car has never had any rust anywhere of any sort. Under the car, floor pans, frame rails are still like brand new. Again this is all original sine 1971. Car has dual dual exhaust. This Cyclone has a small dent on the quarter panel passenger’s side. Overall this car is in excellent condition. Always garage kept and everything works. Runs, drives and looks beautiful." The 1971 Mercury Cyclone looked similar to the previous year's model and came with a performance hood with an integral scoop. There were concealed windshield wipers, dual racing mirrors, and had a hardtop coupe bodystyle. Mercury produced 444 examples of the 1971 Cyclone, 2,287 examples of the Cyclone GT, and a mere 353 Cyclone Spoiler models. The Spoiler series had side stripes placed higher on the side, front and rear spoilers, hubcaps with bright trim rings, and a 3.25:1 gear ratio rear axle. The GT series had buck seats, concealed headlights, and deluxe wheel covers. Inside, there were full instrumentation and three-spoke steering wheel. You can find this information online.
