This 1948 Mercury Eight has 86,368 original miles on it. The engine was replaced in the 60's with an 8BA engine from a 1949 model which is a 255cid engine rather than the original 239cid. The transmission is the original 3 speed manual on the column. This is a true 2 owner vehicle and I have the title from 1959 when he purchased it used. I have a picture of the title posted below. The car runs and drives great but as you see in the pictures it has not been restored. It has the original Tuscon Tan paint on it and the interior could use some new cloth.
The car has been kept inside his barn for many years so it is actually very clean for the year. He has 2 others in the barn that he is keeping but had to have some room for a new toy he bought. You really need to see this car in person to appreciate how nice it is.
