I am selling my 1958 Mercury Monterey. It has not been on the road since 1994 and it is a true barn find! It has a 383 Big Block engine with a 3 speed standard transmission on the column. This is a really rare and fast combination! The pictures at the end of the ad were taken about 5 years ago. The previous owner removed all the trim and painted the car. Since then, the car has sat under a tarp in a lean to and has developed a few minor, quarter sized, spots of rust on the bottom of the passenger side door and a few minor spots on the rear fender.This can be seen in the other pictures, that are in the beginning of the ad, which were taken last week. Overall, the body is in great shape for the age! It does have one small dent in the hood.The glass in the car is excellent all around with no cracks anywhere. I was going to leave it yellow and paint some of the highlights white and I included a picture of how that would look. All of the trim is included with the car and needs to be re-installed. When I got it, I had a new dual exhaust installed and a new master cylinder and new brakes all around. I have not tried to start it recently but it did run good out of a can 5 years ago. The seats will need to be redone but the rest of the interior and the dashboard are in nice shape. Unfortunately, the front passenger side wheel has locked up from sitting so it will have to be towed. But it would make a great and fun project for whoever buys it!
