Description of 1962 Mercury Comet

Up for sale is a nice 1962 Mercury Comet S-22. These were limited edition cars with bucket seats and center console. and their own badging and trim package. This is a good running driving car with all the original trim. the original factory optioned inline 170. and now has been fitted with a brand new Kanter's OER deluxe supension package. drag link & idler. with brand new lower control arms and 2" drop springs. and has a solid response and feel in corners. The motor was gone through and plastiguaged the main bearings. they were within tolerance & engine doesn't smoke. We treated the tank & flushed the fuel lines. Brakes. wheel bearings. axle seals all checked out. It is equipped with manual drums brakes an manual steering. All electrical. headlamps & turn signals. interior lighting. even dome light work. The AM radio is in the dash & hasn't been altered. This car is now at the stage where she could be driven around town getting 25 mpg while slowly restoring or customizing her. or make a great total restoration.
