This beautiful Custom built lead sled show car is the receipient of over 25 Best of Show Awards to include Blackie Gejian Fresno Autorama (Chosen by Blackie personally as 1 of the top 100 custom cars in America in 2005). Cruise for A Cure. Costa Mesa So. Cal Largest one day car show. Best of Show. Goodguys Del Mar Ca. . George Barris's personal pick as Best of Show. Culver City and the list goes on. Purportedly the concept of this classic custom started in the Long Beach. Ca. garage of ZZ Top and his brother and infamous pinstripper of the era Watson autographed his work on the dash. Their ingenuity and design incorporated many of George Barris's signature look chopped 4". channeled . shaved. Frenched headlights. Kaiser rear stop lights. Dodge big tooth Grill. 57 Cadillac hub caps. blackout instrument panel utilizing Dakota Digital instrument's. wide white wall tires (New). The paint is ghe original lacquer from 1997 and could never be replicated or matched. Finishing touches such as the bullet green and white knobs. finished trunk where the gas fill is located. electric doors and trunk lid makes this beautiful car standout in a crowd. The engine compartment is a piece of work on its own utilizing a Cadillac air intake and again Watson adds his talent with a Roth design. Incorporating a lot of polished aluminum and steel as well as finished wheel wells and radiator covers gives the car a truely show car quality. The interior was designed and fabricated by the infamous Ron Magnus utilizing Porsche door handles. Green rope light interior accents and a cream gold carpeting offsetting the white leather interior. Look at the rear seat. nicer then many couches in our homes. In 2009 I updated the appearance of this car by adding deep deep Ghost Flames artfully designed and painted by Randy Morton of Rock and Roll Custom Paint. It was necessary the flames pop in the daytime and are hidden at night. Randy's execution was excellent. Aside from the beauty of this sculptured masterpiece this car is a turn key wonderful driver. Drive it on the freeway if you dare. it glides down the road. For long haul car shows I preferred using an enclosed trailer for fear of damaging the paint. I was fortunate to have acquired this car from an avid car collector who kept this beauty in his office /showroom from 1998 to 2005. Aside from collecting cars he is also the owner of one of the largest car pricing guides in the world. This beauty is the last car in my collection and it is time for this car to move on to another who can appreciate it. either for a collectors showroom or someone who would truly like to show and share for all to enjoy.
