Up for bid is a '66 Mercury S55 with a 428 CI engine that has 126,205 miles. Only 1 of 669 made in 1966. Car has been stored for 35 years. Purchased from 3rd owner. He bought it in 1977 and stopped driving it in 1984. I started the engine, changed the oil and let it run for a while. Compression checked and it was 165 psi throughout. Engine sounds great and is solid! The body is good and straight except for some minor front end damage. Has minor pitting on deck lid and hood. The floors are solid with no rust. There is however a little surface rust. Trunk still has factory paint. An AZ car. Has factory AC (which is off but I have it), P/S, P/W, P/B, tilt column, factory 8 track player. All glass is good except for drivers door which is down so can't be verified. Sale comes with donor car which has nice front sheet metal and deck lid.
