1972 MGB Red Chrome Bumper Wire Wheels Upgraded Motor

I am pleased to offer this very sharp 1972 MGB. It’s a very good runner and presents very nicely. Most all of the mechanics have been re-done and receipts will be included. Car starts and runs well (good oil pressure). VIN # is GHN5UC262227G and miles on the odometer show 60,000, but mileage cannot be confirmed. No overdrive.

Car has been in dry storage for the past few years.

Owner just recently spent $2800 on the following:

– Installed resealed/upgraded engine (from another MGB)
– Installed new clutch with slave cylinder and clutch master cylinder
– Water pump with new mounts
– Changed oil/filter and antifreeze
– New spark plugs with Accel wires

In addition, this MG features:

– Chrome bumpers
– Nice upsized and painted wire wheels with new tires (5 wire wheels)
– Restored Interior except Dash
– New top with frame and bows
– New fuel tank (including hose and filter)

– New Pertronix distributor and coil

– Original SU down draft carbs replaced with single Weber carb
– Rebuilt exhaust hangers
– Aftermarket custom wood steering wheel

– Underside has been undercoated within the last few years
– Battery has been relocated to the trunk (from under the seat)
– Solid floors and trunk
– Newer paint

The seller has sold many fine cars using my services and this MG is another very nice example of the MG’s that he has offered.

The current Hagerty Valuation for the ’72 MGB shows this car valued at $14,900 for a #2 quality car with values steadily rising since about 2009. This car is clearly a #2 car. Great savings to be had right here.

I have not personally inspected or photographed this MGB. I am relying on the pictures and descriptions provided by the seller. The car appears to be a very nice driver that can be enjoyed today. Owner noted that the vinyl dash has a 3″ crack near the steering wheel. The dash can be easily and inexpensively replaced.
