Ground up restoration underway. All parts to finish included. Lots of TLC needed but... 1. Car was taken to bare metal, painted MGB Green, with 2k Glasurite clear, color sanded and buffed. Currently there are chips, scuffs, and scratches from extended storage. A color sand and buff is required ($6500-$8000) 2. Windshield recently rebuilt with new glass, frame seal and body-to-frame rubber. ( $889 plus rubber) 3. The engine was overbored 40 k then was line bored and rebuilt to blueprint standard: balanced through the flywheel. New oil pump, new tri-plex main and rod bearings, new 40 over cast high-compression pistons on rebushed rods. ($3145) 4. Cam is new Piper 270, new R-65 lifters, from Peter Burgess, UK ($388) 5. ARP high tensile head studs used ($165) 6. The flywheel was balanced and surfaced, new clutch pressure plate and throwout bearing. Drive shaft new universal joints fitted. ($221) 7. Head is alloy MSX Cross Flow ($3245.00 including flowing) and was sent to England to be flowed by Peter Burgess along with manifold. HS 6 are included, but not rebuilt to date, using new bronze/manganese guides, un-leakable Chevy umbrella stem seals, 2x springs, and hardened exhaust seats for unleaded gas use, for larger valves both intake and exhaust A 3 angle valve job was done. The target compression ratio was 10:1 originally, but adjusted down with a layered gasket to about 9.5:1 to run on pump gas and the street without pre-ignition. 8. Dizzy was rebuilt by Schlemmer: all in at 32 degrees around 3400 rpm, using port vacuum 9. Transmission is a rebuilt Ford Sierra 5 speed ($3600-Moss) 10. New brakes, brake lines, master cylinder. New clutch, new clutch master, new slave. Brake lines cleaned, etched, and cadmium-plated throughout. ($875) 11. Front and rear suspension rebuilt using red Prothane bushings. New rebuilt swivel axles, king pins, bushing, seal, bearings, and cross member, rear hub bearings. ($1223) Drums turned. New shoes and front pads. ($88) 12. A differential "clunkectomy" was done: new thrust and side bearings. ($64) 13. Very good tires on new (2 years used- $462)) Limited edition wheels from Moss ($823), chrome lugs, and bezel 14. Peco large diameter header and single silencer tailpipe out ($477). 15. Interior autumn beige trim and carpet. Seat upholstery custom-made by Mr. Mike, FLA., using real leather in tone to match interior, and on Ford Fiero seats ($375), MG logo, headrest speaker holes ($623) 16. Dashboard circa '76-'80, rebuilt gauges throughout and clock, all chrome bezel (no longer available). New front facade and ash style wood trim ($235) 17. A rebuilt and flowed cast iron 18v head with HS4 carb and manifold is being offered if buyer chooses to convert to stock circa 1962.
