Description of 1980 MG MGB

This is my 1980 MGB with rare factory overdrive and rare wire wheel option. Very low mileage car with highly original engine bay and original "Smog" equipment. Much work has just been completed as you will read and see in auction description. Reluctant sale, but boat repairs force sale. The car is available to be seen and driven anytime during the auction. The car is selling this week to the highest bidder and is priced way below current market value. Mechanically: The car runs and drives and the following work was just completed: tune up with ignition wires, spark plugs, air filter, oil change and oil filter.Rebuilt carburetor, New battery, New starter, New fuel filter, New fuel pump, New valve cover gasket and New fuse box. Also just spent a small fortune on a complete New clutch kit which included a New clutch disc, New Pressure plate, New release bearing and New Clutch slave cylinder. All of the above listed work was Not Cheap so keep this in mind when comparing my car to others you may be looking at. Highly original engine bay right down to the original carburetor and "Smog" equipment. I have a video of the car running and if you like to see it please email your phone number and I'll text it right over to you. Remember this is a very low mileage car with factory overdrive and wire wheels which are near impossible to find now day. Even rare is one at auction with NO Reserve !! Overdrive Transmission: Yes the car sports its very rare original factory overdrive transmission that works and really makes a huge difference when on the highway.
Gauges: All gauges are correct and original "Smith" brand.
Interior: The interior is all there and is "OK" as a driver but easily upgraded in the future. Exterior: The car presents herself as a NON restored 42 year old car. Just a simple driver quality car that you can improve on during your ownership. Has the rare wire wheel option that gives her that true classic British car look. You can buy the wire wheel kits still today but they run well over $2,000 plus installation cost. Underbody: Looks to be solid and original Soft Top: Is all there but needs a few repairs or for a few hundred bucks have it replaced. Trunk: The trunk is solid as seen in the photos. Shipping:If you need to have the car shipped to your location here in the states you can get a fast and free online quote from Able Auto Transport at: http://www.ableautotransport.com/ Overseas Bidders:Yes the auction is open to overseas bidders. The auction is open to overseas bidders and if you need to ship overseas try Schumacher Cargo Logisticsshipping for fast free quotes ( http://www.schumachercargo.com/ ).
I don't claim to be an expert and my opinion of the car may vary from yours so please look at the photos closely and if you need more information or extra photos let me know prior to bidding. I know how hard it is to purchase a car online so please ask any and all questions you have prior to bidding or if you can come see and drive the car for yourself ( I really encourage you to do so ) as I want the winning bidder to be satisfied with the car when it arrives. No warranties / guarantees are expressed or implied. Due to the cars age she is being sold as mileage exempt and "As Is". A $500 non-refundable deposit is due within 48 hours of auctions end.
