1968 MG MGC GT with factory automatic. Those of you who know MG's know the MGC is a fairly rare car only built from 1967-1969. This car was originally built as Primrose Yellow. It was painted red sometime before my ownership (I purchased in 2014). The car has a clean South Carolina title in my name. Body: Some rust repair was done before I purchased the car. It was amateur work. Although some areas (like the spare tire well) were done well. The body panels appear original and I don't see any signs of previous body damage. The car was originally Primrose Yellow and was painted red before I acquired the car in 2014. The stainless steel side trim was removed during this work but is included. The glass is original and even has the original (I believe) factory BMC sticker in the windshield. All the doors open and shut properly. The chrome bumpers are in decent shape and the grille is original and in good condition. The stainless steel for strip for the bonnet (hood) was removed during the earlier paint and body work but is included (shown in the pictures) Interior: The interior, as shown in the photos, is dirty but appears original including what appears to be the original seat covers, headliner, carpet, dash, gauges, radio and even BMC seat belts. When the car was last driven all the gauges and lights worked. ' Engine: The car is currently not running. I last drove the car at the end of 2019 and parked it in my warehouse along with several other cars when COVID hit. At that time the engine ran strong and shifted well. The engine has the correct carburetors and MGC specific air cleaner assembly, The brakes had been converted prior to my ownership to manual (which is common due to the troublesome nature of the factory power brake arrangement of two boosters). The only known issue at that time was the differential was noisy. It had been noisy for some time so I had purchased the correct (automatic cars have a different gear ratio) rear end to go into the car when the time came. That spare differential is included with the car. A new exhaust was installed shortly before I purchased the car and is in excellent condition. To run again the car needs a new battery, fresh gas, and new points/condenser. Tires: The tires are old and the two rear tires are dry rotted. They need replacement. The car is at my warehouse in Denmark, SC. You can pickup in person or I will work with the shipper of your choice. Payment via wire transfer, cash in person, or personal check (with time to clear). No other forms of payment accepted. I WILL NOT work on getting the car running. Don't ask. I am moving and selling my warehouse by the end of the year so I'm getting rid of most of my cars, parts, etc. I do not have time to work on the car. Feel free to ask any questions you may have about the car.
