Description of 1960 MG MGA Mk1

MGA 1600 Mk I. 1960 Very clean. always in Texas Great looking and running MGA. very good paint (appears to have been repainted once). all new maroon interior (with leather seats). new seat belts. excellent mechanicals…. 145-150 psi compression in every cylinder. 65 psi oil pressure when warm. zero smoke. all original gauges and electrics work. good top and side curtains. wire wheels with all new splined hubs and new chrome knock offs. even has its original engine hand crank. As a 1600 Mk I. fitted with the more powerful 1600cc engine and disc brakes. Transmission is very quiet even in 1st and reverse gears. excellent synchromesh. brakes and steering work well. excellent chassis and wood floors. rust free trunk compartment and floor. very clean engine bay. For the money. the absolute best compromise in a classic English sports car with light. precise steering. 100 mph performance. easy to service. parts are plentiful and generally inexpensive. and really stunning in Old English White with deep maroon leather.
