Description of 1988 Mitsubishi Galant Sigma |
Looking for a car that will get you to Point A to Point B? This is the car for you! Although you won't be going in style you will at least get there! Great car for starting out. something to work on. or just a temporary vehicle until you’re able to get a new one!Oil change on 11/28New Inspection sticker good until 11-2015New front tires purchased September 2014New battery bought in April 2014Timing belt was changed 40K miles agoHere are the negatives. Keep in mind that I've been using this car as a daily driver and it still runs normal on the highways(Even at toll road speeds. )The car has an electronic air suspension. The Front Driver side suspension is faulty but will pick up after the first few minutes of driving. It does create a heavy clicking noise that goes away after a few minutes. The shocks are worn but are still working. Front brakes were replaced 3 years ago but the rotors are slightly warped causing a deep rumbling noise if you are heavily braking. The front wheel cambers are misaligned which means that the tires have to be rotated every few months to cause even wearing. A/C is broken but the Heater still works like a Charm!Power windows do not work. I believe it is due to the power box but I haven’t had it looked at since the Sun Roof still works. Radio has equalizer buttons but the cassette player doesn't work and the lows don’t come out as clear as they used to. Radio still comes through strong but there is crackling/poping noises when maxing out the volume. There is a slight leak in the gas line when filling up. Once again the leak only becomes an issue during fill up. There is a leak in the power steering line which means it has to be filled up about every 2 days or less depending on how much driving you do. The passenger headlight is misaligned causing it to beam higher than the left light. The transmission works and doesn't stick but during high RPM it will feel jumpy during a gear change. Passenger front turn light plastic front is broken. The light still works but it was patched over. Window tinting has bubbled but you can still see through them. Right side rear view mirror is broken but was replaced with an aftermarket convex mirror. |
