This is 1 of 549 442 4-Speed Convertibles built in 1970. It was ordered in the beautiful color combination of Twilight Blue over blue with a white top! Other options include buckets and console, ally pack gauges, :42 Posi rear end, ower steering and power brakes. The story on this car goes like this, he original motor was replaced under warranty and currently has a correct F block that has the upside down "L" stamped on the block to show it was a warrantied motor. In the early 1980's it was side swiped by a drunk driver while parked on the street (see driver side photo), horty after the owner parked it behind his house. A few years later, he transmission was stolen out of the vehicle and the car still sits without a transmission however the console, edals, nd shifter boot are still in tact. After the trans was stolen, he owner parked the car inside his garage where this poor 442's life became even more miserable.... The garage caught on fire while the car was inside. The owner was able to get the car out in time and the only visible fire damage to the car is on the passenger rear 1/4 panel extension and the rear bumper. Unfortunately, ll the service records he had including the warranty paper work that showed the #'s matching motor being replaced, ere lost in the fire. The car speaks for itself, t needs a COMPLETE restoration, ut it is an incredibly rare and desirable Olds. It's time for someone to restore this car to the beautiful piece of machinery that it once was after the Hell it has been through over the last 30 years! I reserve the right to end the auction early as the car is listed for sale locally. Please Call Jeff anytime at 815-790-0003. Thanks
