Description of 1965 Oldsmobile 442

Rust Free 1965 442 Hardtop. Built at Fremont California production facility. Combination of original car with recent refresh to include nice quality paint, nd some interior.
Yes, his is a column shift automatic 1965 442....
Car was mostly an original paint/interior car when I purchased in 2012. Car had normal dings/scratches expected of a 50-year old car. Overall original paint was probably 8 out of 10. Trunk rear deck panel, ear bumper, nd trunk lid had damage from drivewayincident, eason for me painting the complete car
I did not paint the inside of the trunk or detail beyond the back panel area so any future owners would see the original rust free trunk floor. It shows its age with paint scrapes/dings/pealing paint, o if you want perfect needs some work there.
Engine and transmission are believed original to car. Engine was rebuilt and detailed as seen in pictures. Transmission was resealed only. Crank was drilled so converting to a 4-speed will be an easier task.
Most exterior chrome is original to the car and in great shape. Tail panel wasswappedoutbecause of damage. It's presentable, ut not as nice as the rest of the chrome. Tail lights do have some light pitting. Rest of the chrome is great.
Note: This is not a $50K restoration, ut it is a very nice refresh of an original solid car. Why pay used car dealer markups? Get this car from a private seller.
Reason for selling. I've owned many 65's over the years and ready to move on to my next 65 project.
I only buy rust free cars and would consider an original 65 Cutlass/442/F85 Sport Coupe/Club Coupe/Post Coupe needing restoration as partial trade. No hardtops or convertibles at this time. Looking for a post car.
Car runs, rives, nd stops as it should, ut has very limited miles sincerebuild.
Pictures provided give you a good idea of overall condition. I don't plan on taking hundreds of pictures for the heck of it. Prefer potential buyers look at in person.
This is not a perfect car and still some tinkering to be done. But much of the heavy lifting is out of the way. So, f looking for a solid overall car this one is worth a look.

Tires on car have good tread, ut are old and shouldn't be used for more than driving around the block. I do have 5 red lines that will go with the car to include what I believe is the original redline spare.
