1971 Oldsmobile Custom Cruiser Station Wagon. California Car. This wagon hasn't been driven since 2009. It is in need of restoration or use as a parts car. The car is complete but is rough. It has been sitting outside in S. California for many years. It is complete and has a clear California title. There are some areas of rust around the rear windows This wagon's claim to fame was a clamshell tailgate (new for 1971 and the first in wagon history) design where the rearpower-operated glass slid up into the roof as the tailgate slid into a recess under the cargo floor. The tailgate appears to be undamaged and probably still works when a new battery is installed The car has a clean title and is ready for a new home to restore her or to use as a parts car. It has a 455 cubic inch V8. All of the glass is in good condition (no cracks or chips). There is a lot of chrome on this car in good shape including the original roof rack. The rear quarter panel glass curves around the rear of the car and are in excellent condition. The rear tailgate and all the glass alone on this car are worth the starting price of the auction. Also included are 3 of the original hubcaps (missing 1). The radio is period but not original. This model was only made for 5 years and was GM's largest/heaviest wagon ever produced. It doesn't run currently so it will need to be transported. Located in Cherry Valley, A. Please ask if you have questions.
