Description of 1962 Oldsmobile Starfire -- |
You're bidding onA beautiful 1962 Oldsmobile Starfire Coupe This is a one of a kind original interior and paint Classic! This car has spent it's entire life in the quiet suburb of west brighton located on Staten Island, and was purchased new from the now long gone West Brighton Oldsmobile dealer.Dozens of trophies have been won by this Starfire in the NY/NJ show circuit and the car is a head turner anywhere it goes. It was bought new by my uncle's neighbor in the 60s and my uncle Joe bought it around 1975, he's owned it ever since. It was left to me in his will and as much as I hate to see it go, I simply don't have the room to keep it any longer and hope it goes to a good home where someone will enjoy it for years to come. It's even made some TV and movie appearances over the years. Will come included with some period correct accessories and car show placards (as seen in trunk). I would not hesitate to drive the car anywhere, but please keep in mind that the brakes and tires of the 60s werent what they are today so you might want to arrange transportation! The car does not have any major mechanical issues, and was always kept up on repairs and maintenance. Cosmetically it does show it's age, but that can be expected of an original un restored car. The seats show some wear but most everything still works, and even comes with fuzzy dice!Headliner and interior chrome trim all look great, and outside of new seat covers and a good cleaning, the interior does not need much. There are some chips and dings on the exterior, but for an original '62 it's in great shape. Please see high res photos below for more detail. There's very few of these left in stock/un restored condition and this may be your last chance to own one at a reasonable price. Please bid with confidence and feel free to ask any questions! This Classic Starfire will not dissapoint. Local pickup is preffered, but I can work with your transporter to have the car picked up on your behalf. |
