Description of 1964 Oldsmobile Starfire

I am posting this on my dad's behalf so all details are as I know from him and what I have observed.
This is a 1964 Oldsmobile Starfire with the345 hp (257 kW) 394 cu in (6.5 l) "Ultra High Compression" Rocket V8. My dad bought this car with the intention of restoring it. However, he is older now, his health has not been the best and he does not have the money to put into the car. He bought it five years ago and it has mostly just sat on the driveway.
The car has been in California most of its life. It even still has the "AAA Southern California" stickers on the back. The body is straight and rust free. My dad had it painted. However, the body shop did not put clear coat on it, so the sun baked the paint. He also had it upholstered but it has been sitting outdoors in the California desert. The car is very complete. It has most of the trim (which is what is hard to find on these cars). It is missing the rear bumper and hood hinges.
My dad had it running last summer. So the engine works. We tried to turn it on a few days ago. However, it would not stay on for long. We suspect it has bad gas from sitting for so long or maybe a clogged fuel filter. It should't be difficult to get it running for someone with some expertise.
It is a beautiful car. The attention to detail on the interior is great. Even the A/C vents are made out of metal, not some cheap plastic. It even has power windows. From what I read online, this was the most expensive car that Oldsmobile sold in 1964.
This is a great candidate for a restoration as it does not need much. I see these cars restored going for at least $25k online. It is a bargain at this price.
Please only bid if you seriously intent on buying the car. If you have any questions or would like specific pictures, let me know. Also, if you would like to see it in person before the auction ends, that can be arranged. Shipping will be at the buyers expense or it can be picked up in person. However, we will help coordinate the shipper as much as needed.
The car is located in Southern California. My dad has a clean title on hand for the car in his name. Payment will be accepted in cash or cashiers check.
Thank you.
