Description of 1970 Oldsmobile Cutlass

1970 Oldsmobile cutlass, supreme, convertible numbers, matching 350 high compression four barrel engine with factory, air conditioning and power disc brakes power steering

Vehicle Details

This is a rare one of 4867 1970 Oldsmobile cutlass supreme convertibles built in 1970 with its numbers matching original 350 4 barrel high compression 10.25.1 310hp 390ft pounds of torque engine. This car has a working power convertible top. Working power disc brakes with new booster and master cylinder. It has rare factory air-conditioning that is complete, but not working. It has power steering and a 12 bolt Oldsmobile rear. This cutlass came originally from the factory with the rare gold exterior with gold convertible top and saddle interior. When it was restored 20 years ago it had a color change and interior change. This car was garage kept for many years and then under a carport. The lights and flashers are currently working. It has a new battery, new spark plugs, distributor cap, and rotor and points and coil a new solid-state voltage regulator. The original carb has been rebuilt and has a new fuel pump also. A new fuel sender was installed so the gas gauge does work. New valve cover gaskets were installed. A new breather and PCV valve. It has fresh Lucas high zinc oil and Kn oil filter. This car has never been wrecked. All the door gaps are very nice. It has the typical convertible rust issues in the trunk needs new patch pan. There’s some rust in the bottom of the front window. The cowl is solid. The floor pans are solid with only small repairs needed, the rockers are very solid with only small repairs needed. Under the doors have no rust. You can see in the pictures on the body what is going to need repair. When you look down the sides of the car, it’s very straight the quarter panels were replaced in the previous restoration. They did a very nice job. It’s very hard to find these cars with their original numbers matching engines and this is not the standard low compression 2 barrel car with no air conditioning that you usually find in these . 1970 is the lowest production for cutlass supreme convertibles it is also the best looking model between 70 and 72 and the most desirable. I found what’s left of the build sheet under the passenger side Carpet actually under the sound deadener so there’s pieces of it there. I removed it and it’s in a box it’s stuck to the sound deadener I didn’t want to disturb it. The engine seems to run good but does have exhaust manifold leaks. The previous owner told me the engine was rebuilt when the car was restored years ago. The engine doesn’t smoke upon start at all. The tires are old and will need to be replaced. The car should be towed by the new owner and not driven home. The cars been off the road for many years for safety reasons the car should be towed. Any questions just ask. I am only excepting $$$$$ upon pick up. No cashiers checks or wire transfers. I will also need a positive feedback before the car is taken or I cannot release it, so have your Ebay account accessible on your phone. Check my Feedback I’ve been selling on eBay for many years. My feedback is 100%.
