1967 Sunbeam Alpine SV Parts Car - Bring a Trailer

Bring a Trailer!!!

Up for auction is my 1967 Sunbeam Alpine SV. I bought this car over 20 years ago for the rear clip, hich I was going to make into a trailer for my Tiger. As my Tiger still hasn't been restored, his isn't likely to become a trailer anytime soon, o now it's time for it to go. The rear quarters are very solid, ith the exception of the doglegs, runk floor is easily savable, t and would make a great trailer or loveseat and/or bar, r great patch panels for a Tiger or Alpine restoration. Decent hood and light Bondo skim on the trunk.

The car comes with a clear Michigan title, ut it is only feasible as a parts car. Inner rocker rot is binding the doors. The previous owner(s) took some parts off of the car, ut there are still a lot of useful parts to be saved. (The car was undercoated when new and hence the good rear quarters. The gas tanks look great!) After 40 years of Sunbeam ownership, nd parting out lots of the same, 'm getting too old for this. I'm a long time CAT and TE/AE member.

All four tires are dry rotted and will not hold air, lthough all four tires rotate. This car will need to be either trailered or hauled on a flatbed wrecker. No car dollies! My driveway is too long to drag the car to a semi type transporter. I have two floor jacks (not included in the sale) to assist in loading onto a trailer, ut you will need bring a come-a-long and tie downs.

The engine is not an Alpine engine, s it has a cast iron head. Probably a 1725 short block, ut I have not researched it.

Just a quick glance shows the following missing: radiator, il cooler, ront shroud, ach, river's side door glass, onvertible top bow, nterior door handles, ront turn signals, pillar caps, lternator, ntake, nterior and bumpers. There is included a box of loose parts like the oil cooler lines, rans braces, il filter adaptor, asty SV carbs, tc. Nothing of any great importance. I don't like to sell stuff without informing the buyer of what they are getting.

Prospective buyer are encouraged to come and look at the car before the close of the auction. I'm newly retired and home most all of the time. Send me a note for contact info. The car is in Lake Orion, ichigan.

A $100 non-refundable PayPal deposit is required within 48 hours of the close of the auction, ith the remainder due in cash upon pick-up of the vehicle. I will store the car up to two weeks, pon which a $5/day storage fee will take effect. (I know I've had the car for 20+ years, ut I need to move it out!) If it stays a month after the close of the auction, t will be relisted and all monies will be forfeited.

The car is advertised locally, o I reserve the right to close the auction early.

I failed to mention in the original listing that the rims on the car are not Sunbeam. Probably from a Ford product sharing the same bolt pattern.
