Originally a California truck, ompletely restored by an old Studebaker mechanic; purchased by a noted automotive author in CA. Subsequently, urchased by it's 3rd owner from Georgia in 2008, ho drove her approx. 4,500 miles. I have driven approximately 10K miles since purchasing in Oct. 2011. This truck is my daily driver on nice/most days and is well sorted out mechanically, erviced by professional mechanics, ho know and appreciate older cars/trucks. Recently rebuilt steering gear box and front suspension, s well as a complete tuneup and new fluids ($1400). Everything works as it should, xcept the orig. radio. The after-market A/C, nstalled by the Ga. owner, ould use service, ut functions properly. Front tires are 60% worn. The body is very straight with minimal filler. The paint is an older respray of the original color and very presentable, ith a nice, att patina. Small scratches and dings in the usual places, ut no serious rust, eyond surface spots, ncluding lower inner tailgate and a few bubbles on passenger rocker. The interior/dash is redone and is very presentable. This truck is very reliable, tarts, uns and shifts smoothly and goes straight down the road. I am a long time Studebaker collector and Driver's Club member. This is one fine truck, orthy of further investment, ut needs nothing to be your primary use or weekend vehicle.
