We are finally selling our Borgward CABRIOLET. We have owned the car for the past 30 plus years and its time to let her go. When we bought her we were told by a german car collector that a coach builder in germany had removed the roof for this car and made a cabriolet. There is no roof so this is a top down car full time. The interior is in very good shape for its age and only has one tiny 1 inch slit in the back seat. the rest of the upholstery looks fine. It has sat in our barn for the last 20 or so years and since the clutch and brake master cylinders have gone bad from dry rot. I went as far as to rebuild the brake master cylinder and install but never got around to bleeding the brakes or figuring out what else needed attention (hoses ECT). I have the kit to rebuild the clutch slave cylinder but never installed. I rebuilt the fuel pump, leaned the tank, and the fuel lines and got the engine running again with the turn of a key. It runs well and doesn't smoke or knock I have a video available to show it running be sure to check it out. This car is currently registered in my name and comes with a clean california title and current registration there is very minor rust on bottom floor pan and a 1 foot by 6 inch section is rotted out. the body however is very straight with very little dings. The paint is good for its age as well and we buffed it out and looks decent. It has a 4 speed column shift transmission that goes into all the gears but can't be driven due to clutch hydraulics needing attention. This is a very rare car and a very neat project for someone who either wants to do a restoration or make a resto mod gasser. All Sales are FINAL if you have any questions just ask thanks On Nov-02-15 at 16:09:54 PST, eller added the following information: The car is located in Del Rey near Fresno Ca. Not in Marina Del Rey near Los Angeles
