1971 Jensen Interceptor Mark II Matching Numbers 383 V8 Motor Offered for you consideration is a very unique piece of British Automotive history. The Jensen Interceptor Mark II is a sports car connoisseurs collectible with its iconic body style and factory delivered American 383 V8 powering it. There are so many factors that attest to the rising value of these iconic automobiles. This example comes with its manual, ome documentation and endless Jenson Club owners information. It is in amazing condition and still houses its numbers matching 383 V8power plant. Jensen Interceptors were built to extremely low production numbers. They are a sporting car that posted a desirable 383 V8 and they were a hand build car that the Jensen factory was only able to produce approximately 10 a month. Which left total Interceptor II production numbers for 1969-1971 at only 1,128. Add to the fire that only 334 were originally delivered to the United States and only 43 finished in the color you see here, angerine. This type of car can best a field of common cars just do to its rarity. As far as remaining numbers go, nbsp;we have to factor in the survivors. Many of Jensen's succumbed to rust, hey seemed to be a fairly susceptible car for having serious frame and panel rust issues. I think that you will find the body, rame condition of this Intercepter to be in the top percentage. I did photograph the only two small areas that I could find. In many ways, nce you inspect the photographs of this car you will conclude that it is a extremely nice unrestored Jensen. The dash and working gauges are in really nice shape including the console and rear seat. I was impressed to find the tools, ire extinguisher and original matching spare wheel still with the vehicle. I would say this 1971 Jensen Interceptor falls into the "barn find" category because it still housing its original running 383 powerplant, riginal looking interior and trim pieces. It has has an older repaint from some point in its life many years ago but most everything else appears original. I have tried to photograph and document this car as clearly as possible. This is a running and driving example that is not a basket case nor a rust bucket. When we purchased the car we cleaned out and flushed the fuel system, eplaced fluids and lubricants and she runs and cruises down the road just fine. We are offering this Interceptor as she sits because to find one in this condition truly cant be easily duplicated. There is a scrape/dent on the left rear quarter that you can see in the photos. Although for the discerning collector, fresh repaint, ront seat recover and front bumper rechrome and you would be ready for the show car scene. The Interceptor was designed in Italy by Carrozzeria Touring with exceptionally clean surfaces and a long nose that balances the weight of the huge, raparound rear window. Subtle changes for the MK II included Side by side from headlights and paring lights moved below the bumper.
