1985 AMCEagle Wagon
Looking to find a good home for my 1985 AMC Eagle wagon. It has 168K on the 4.2L straight six and an automatic transmission. Runs/drives excellent and is in very good shape for an Ohio vehicle, specially an Eagle. The paint is a little sun faded and there are a few scrapes/scratches.There are a couple spots of surface rust on the drivers door but nothing serious. The interior is all there and in nice shape with some tears on the drivers seat and sun fade on the carpet. Tires and brakes are good along with all glass. I've previously owned three Eagles and this is the best running of them all. It starts with a couple pumps of the accelerator, he choke works, nd it idles smooth. It fired up without issue during some recent below-zero weather. These became known for vacuum/tuning and carb issues, ut this one runs/drives smooth and is great on the freeway. Not the fastest thing in the world but it's a tank and a great winter car. Since I've had it, t's gotten a new alternator, attery, ear leaf springs, nd some other odds and ends. This is a running and driving car in very, ery solid shape. It's a daily driver as it sits. Heat works very well along with all lights, ignals, indshield wipers, tc. The previous owner installed a new CD player but I have the original, long with an extra set of wheel covers and some other parts.
I've driven it quite a bit since getting it last September. I absolutely love Eaglesandthis one inparticular, ut it's mainly just a toy for me to drive here and there - not a ton ofroom forthe whole family. It's by no means perfect, ut there really aren't that many left in this condition. Turn the key and go. I've taken it on several 3-5 hour road tripswithout issue. Definitely plan some extra time at the gas station since people usually want to take a look and talk about it!
