***************. ******************** 1959 Hillman Husky Street Rod Project. This is a VERY solid Hillman that has had tons invested. I’ve lost interest in this one so off it goes. The car is virtually rust free with the exception of the lower front fenders. The car is a lifelong California resident and still retains most of it's original paint. A testament to the remarkable condition this survivor is in. Only the outer metal was affected as the inner metal is still pristine. The motor mounts are Sunbeam Tiger reproduction units that are designed for a small block Ford. The metal work on the firewall/trans tunnel is set-up for a 302 Ford with a C-4 automatic. The rear is a narrowed Jag with Alston coilovers. Most people know, but some don’t – the Husky is built on basically the same pan as the Sunbeam Tiger. This particular car has one of the VERY few Hokanson Tiger front suspension packages. I would estimate there were between six and fifteen ever built, and finding one for sale is never going to happen anytime soon. I doubt you could ever convince the designer to build you one, so if you own a Tiger and want one of these for your prized possession, know that it will bolt right in. The serial number of the unit is #003. An enterprising enthusiast could bolt the front end into their Tiger, and bolt their stock Tiger suspension into the Hillman; sell the Hillman recouping the majority of their investment. As Tiger owners already know, the other front suspension packages on the market are pushing almost $6K! Lots of miscellaneous parts come with the car, some of which can’t be found anymore. I do have the reproduction vent window seal kit that was reproduced in Australia but is no longer available, as well as pristine tail light housings, lenses, custom billet gauge panel, fuel cell, new rear calipers, rotors, brake booster, master cylinder, shifter, and the list goes on and on. All of the window seals and other weather stripping is still available from aftermarket vendors. Most of what was done has been mocked-up. There is still final welding to do, as well as generally building it up from here, but the heavy lifting has already been done. It is for sale without the engine and transmission because there is a good chance a Tiger owner will want this for the front suspension and not really care about finishing the car. If you do want to build it, I have a very low mileage SBF and C-4 that can be dropped in the car for transport for an additional $1,200 over the winning bid. The car has been an on again, off again project for the past 10 years or so. There is flash rust on some of the car now. I would just have the entire car media blasted to give a fresh start to the built if that is your intention. The original build intent was focused more on handling, not to make a drag car out of it. With a stock SBF it will be plenty quick enough for this light, short wheelbase vehicle, but the new owner can do what they want. It should go without saying, but this car is a ROLLER. There is NO ENGINE or TRANSMISSION in the vehicle and it will need to be TRANSPORTED to your location. Study the pictures carefully and ASK ALL YOUR QUESTIONS PRIOR TO PURCHASING. If something is not pictured, assume it is NOT included, except the front and rear bumpers which DO come with the car but are NOT pictured. The car has an open, clear, title from California that matches the VIN plate, but it has LONG been out of the DMV system so I will include a California Bill of Sale. For California bidders there are no back fees – but it will require a VIN verification when you register it. The winning bidder is responsible for all shipping costs and arrangements. I will assist your carrier in loading at this end. I welcome your questions, and can usually respond quickly. For any Tiger owners that might be interested in buying the front suspension package, I can save you an email - the suspension goes with the car Vehicle need to be picked up within 2 weeks. All funds must clear my bank before the vehicle leaves without exception. Should go without saying but….the vehicle is sold AS IS, WHERE IS, AND IS WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. Only you can determine if it is suited for your intended use, and there are no returns or refunds under any circumstances. You buy it, you own it. Thanks for taking a look!
