Description of 1989 Other Makes 4 x 4 Limited Edition |
1989 La Forza 4x4 SUV, body very clean, interior good condition, new tires. V-8 engine will crank and it did run but has been sitting several years and has an electrical issue where it won't start even thought the motor turns over. Truck is intact. Low miles at 71k. It's in good original condition and very rare! I thought I'd have the time to work on it but I don't now that I lost my storage space for it, so it really needs to go to a good home. Fixer-up or parts. Lot of parts offered on the internet for this model (and the 1999 model), so, if you wanted to part it out, have the time and mechanical wherewithal, could be quite profitable. For those who aren't familiar, this rare SUV was based on the Rayton-Fissore Magnum 4x4, which was a civilian adaptation of an Italian IVECO military truck chassis in the 1980s. Rayton-Fissore was an Italian coachbuilder that saw an opening in the already-growing SUV market for a high-end luxury product. They commissioned designer Tom Tjaarda, who was responsible for a bevy of crazy-cool cars: the 1962 Chevrolet Corvair Pininfarina Coupé, the 1966 Ferrari 365 GT California, the 1970 De Tomaso Pantera, the original Ford Fiesta, and the interior of the Lamborghini Diablo. The result was the Magnum, which was a fitting name as the military-grade construction - compliments to "AREA MAN" in NYC for this info. Have website available for more info. |
