This vehicle is has not been used since 2007 and is not in running condition. It is being sold "AS IS" and is priced accordingly. Buyer will need to tow the vehicle away at their own expense. The Pinzgauer is one of the most capable all-terrain vehicles ever made. Besides the Swiss Army. this 710M Troop Carrier has had only one owner and was purchased in 2001 just after it was imported (legally) into the US. During production from 1971 until 1985. 18. 49 first-generation 710s as well as its larger cousin. the 712. were produced for civilian and military customers. This is the ultimate off-road vehicle that is also street legal and can comfortably transport the driver and 9 others! Besides this. the back two bench seats fold down turning the back into a flat bed for transporting just about anything The Pinzgauer was designed to be reliable and easy to fix. The air cooled 4 cylinder engine was specifically designed for the vehicle. Top quality dual-Zenith 36 mm NDIX carbs deliver fuel to the engine and it has more than one oil pump so that the engine will not get starved of oil no matter how the vehicle is oriented. It also has a tow hitch (NATO type) and can easily tow over 11. 00 pounds on regular roads. 4WD. front and back differential lockers - ALL shift on the fly!10 gears! Five on-road and five off-road tractor gears. Separate canvas roofs over front cab and back. They can be completely removed or rolled up. Larger windows were added to the back to let more light in and allow passengers to look out easily (these windows need restitching and there are some minor tears in the roof along the rail supports). The body was repainted in 2007 at the same time that the dual carburetors were overhauled. new plugs were put in and the valves adjusted. There are some minor rust areas namely at the rear door and along the - now removed/missing - impact strips along the sides. A folding rear step and front hub steps were added.
