Description of 1993 Volvo 240

1993 Was the final and best year for the Volvo 240 and they are still seen regularly on the road. I purchased this a few months ago with plans to replace my current 1993 wagon. However, my wife likes the color red better, so I’m selling the grey one.
This car runs and drives great. The engine does not smoke or have any odd noises and is very peppy. Recent work includes:
New paint on roof, roof rack, and hood due to peeling clear coat Several dents and larger scrapes repaired and painted on the both sides. The rest of the paint is original. New Left and right motor mountsNew torque rod bearingsOil changeTransmission fluid changeNew exhaust hangers.Driver seat upper leather.
I have receipts for over $1200.00 in work last year.
Like most all 240’s, the odometer does not work. True mileage is unknown. The car has a current Virginia state inspection. All four tires have great tread. The spare holds air but has less than 50% tread. The dash is in good condition and has an after market stereo with an aux port. All power windows work. The fan and heat work but the ac does not. The clock actually works.
The car has two small rust spots under the tailgate which are pictured and surface rust on the lower front left fender and surface rust on the undercarriage.. Overall, a very solid 30 year old car. The body has some scrapes, chips and dings, but I consider it good driver quality. The original grill had a crack and was replaced with a used one. The original grill is included.
Overall, this is a nice example of the iconic 240 and would be a great daily driver or a weekend cruiser. The car is available for inspection at Wilson’s Body Works in Richmond Virginia prior to bidding. Please, serious bidders only.
