Description of 1963 Chevrolet Impala |
I am selling my 1963 Impala SS because Father Time is catching up with as I have bad knees and hips that prevent me from driving a stick shift. I have owned this car for 20 plus years and driven it with a lot of fun and cruising action. It’s has a 383 stroker motor on a 350 block 400 crank and this car will carry the mail. However, since having both hips replaced and in need of knee replacement, with a sad heart I have decided to sell the vehicle. In hopes that’ll bring someone the same joy and fun it has given us over the years. It is an original 1963 Chevrolet Impala SS the VIN has been provided in the description. The car is in need of some TLC as I’m tired of seeing the sun, wind and the cold take away her beauty with each passing day she sits outside and not being driven. Here’s what I know about the car and she can be up and running in no time just a few things that’s wrong with her and thus explained. The only problems and easily can be fixed to the best to my knowledge is the drive shaft yoke, fly wheel and fuel pump. I started it up and it runs as long as your'e pouring gas in the carburetor as the fuel pump is bad from sitting. When I parked the car the only issue was the drive shaft yoke. While doing this method of starting the car over and over I broke off some teeth on the flywheel. When the car is in a stopped position as you come off the clutch aggressively the front of the drive shaft yoke will scrub against the housing. This is only in first gear, and only if you come off the clutch and mash the gas pedal aggressively, all other gears shifts as normalI, but you better hold on. I drove this car for a while as it didn't interfere with my cruising as I just feathered the clutch at take off. Please serious inquiries only as I don't want to waste your or my time. Please contact me if you have any questions. I would love to see this car go to a good home and give someone else the joy and excitement it has given me. 1963 SS Impala minimum work to be up and running Finished In Candy Apple Red With Black Interior - Bucket Seats & Console 383 Stroker V8 - Crate Motor, 350 Block 400 crank Muncie 4 Speed Manual Transmission Power Brakes W/ Front Disc 750 Holley Dual Line Carburetor Aluminum Intake Dual Exhaust Electronic Ignition Beautiful Car, w/ Straight Body Chrome Front & Rear bumpers, chrome light covers Hood paint cracking from recent sun exposure Nice Custom Interior W/ Bucket Seats and Seat Belts Custom Stereo System Door Panels Front & Rear, drivers side need replacing Very Nice Front & Rear Seats rip on top right corner of seats Headliner was redone Nice Muffler and Exhaust System Drivers Side inside door handle need replacing Passenger side window tract need adjusting but winds up and down Trunk Pan W/ liner & matching 20 inch Chrome spare tire All Exterior Lights Work, All Gauges Work, Horn Works, Wipers Work, Radio Works, Blower Works NOTE: This is Not a Rust Free Car, but the Frame is Solid, the Rear Floors Rusted out and need replacement floor pans.
