Helloo to all Viewing. My name is Keith and I am listing this 1941 Packard model 120 convertable coupe on consignment for the wife of a dear friend of mine..This is a real nice well appointed car in all its original glory..It has all the bells and whistles and I will Explain the car in all its detail.. Packard Motor Car Company began producing American Luxury cars in 1899 in Warren Ohio and later moved to Detroit in 1903. Packard's quickly became recognized as a luxury brand that was not only a premium automobile but also known for its reliability and performance completing several flawless cross-country promotional treks and setting several land speed records. Packard quickly became a worldwide premium name competing easily with European luxury cars of the time. During World War I Packard produced marine and aircraft motors and remained profitable. During the Great Depression as many luxury automakers struggled Packard introduced the Series One-Twenty. The One-Twenty was a line marketed in the highly competitive mid-priced eight-cylinder segment marketed to the upper middle-class buyer from 1935-1941. Featured here is a stunning example of these luxurious cars, a 1941 Packard 120. This car has been in the same family for many years and it has been maintained and driven often throughout. It has all the correct original packard accessories and everything works as it should. This is not a concours restoration, but a good original car..It was repainted a bunch of years ago and stills looks real nice..It has the original 282 CID * 8 cylinder 120 HP engine, 3 speed manual transmission with Electromagnetic overdrive(Option),as well as the options as follows.OEM Packard drivers spotlight,(through the dash).Options include front spotlights on the front bumper as well ..The car starts right up,drives fine and we just fired it up september 15th,drove it around and opened the top and went through everything and everything is in working order,The top retracts using the lever next to the steering column(automatic),,a cool feature introduced on the 120 series.the radio works (was replaced with an FM radio a few years back)..The car could use some re-chrome on the rear bumper uprights and a few of the trim pieces. The convertable top needs a good cleaning..It has a small tear on the left side just above where the 3 snaps hold it to the car(about 4 inches long),, the convertable top tonneau cover is in the back seat and fits perfectly..If you want to come and inspect the car I can arrange that,We will start the car and take it for ride if you like,,.All correspondence regarding this car will go through me,I can meet anyone at the home once an appointment is set up.
