Description of 1969 Chevrolet Camaro

1969 Z28 Camaro Engine (engine only). Fresh precision built 302 Z28. correct block and head casting numbers. 1969 date code August 8th. 1969. Block casting number 3970010. listed on Page 7 of the "Chevrolet Small Block Parts Interchange Manual" by Ed Staffel. as 1969 Z28 Camaro. Head date code January 1969. casting number 3927186. listed in manual. Page 70. Complete with factory four-bolt main block. factory steel crank shaft. high performance oil pump and high capacity oil pan. Has . 030 custom Arias aluminum flat top pistons with Carrillo steel rods. New Z28 equivalent high performance hydraulic cam and lifters. new timing chain. Fresh ported Z28 correct heads with large high performance valve springs with new seals. "Winters" factory high rise manifold with Holley carburetor. Balanced. blueprinted with top quality best parts for high performance street use and weekend racing events. More powerful and faster than just about any stock Z28. This is the same combination that I ran at the U. S. Nationals at Indy several years ago in my Z28. it ran in the 10s all 4 runs. It also set the official NHRA speed record with the same Camaro at 128. 84 miles per hour. This is "not" the DZ block that some Z28s came with. This is a factory warranty block that superseded and replaced a damaged block under warranty. The suffix numbers on the front of the block reflect that: CE9B402. C E = Chevrolet Engine or Counter Exchange. 9 = 1969. B = Block. 4 = 4 bolt main. 02 = "302". If this engine has the equipment and proper numbers you require for your project. then I will be happy to sell it. If it is not exactly what you are looking for. I am sorry. it's the only one I have for sale right now. This may not be for the purist. but for someone who wants to street drive his Z28 to the race. do a 30-mile required tour. and win like I just did last week at the National Muscle Car Association "Spring Nationals" in my current Z28.
