Description of 1966 Other Makes Alpine Roadster

Up for auction. is a brilliant all Original 1966 Sunbeam Alpine Rootes Roadster. This very beautiful English roadster has had a very charmed life. It has been lovingly owned since day one by people that cherished it. maintained it religiously and were not afraid to spend money on keeping it Original. I have never had so much paperwork making amazing provenance on any car. There is hundreds of pages worth of bills. and receipts dating to 1966 for work that was performed and parts that were procured to keep this roadster in the top shape that it is in. This included the Original title from 1966. the 1966 warranty cards. and even the Original owner's handbook. (SEE last picture)It is obvious when you look at the pictures that this is a clean honest example of the iconic Alpine. This car is fantastic to be in. It is comfortable. and supremely easy to drive. The seats are brand new in their entirety. and are extremely comfortable. as is the entire interiorNEW Seat frames. NEW Foam. NEW springs. and NEW Upholstery. including NEW rugs. NEW door panels NEW side panels and NEW boot cover. and NEW never used tonneau cover. Receipts for over $4. 00. The clutch is easy to depress. and easy to engage all the gears with. The transmission is a delight; crisp. sharp. short throws get you in gear. up. or down. without any fuss or grinds. very similar in feel to a Miata. The motor was rebuilt in 1999 and starts first crank in any weather. Lots of torque and lots of power. The most amazing RASP I've ever heard. similar to an Aston Martin. or Alfa Romeo. The suspension was also rebuilt recently with receipts totaling the cost of $4. 00 of parts and labour. Same goes for the fuel system. new gas tanks. new hoses trunk covers. Stromberg Carburetors etc. The brakes; no surprise here. they are also recent Sunbeam Specialties. and work evenly. strongly. and reliably. stopping the newer tyres. Clock in dash is inoperative. The occasional dent / scratch can be found on the body. This car rides like it did in 1966. Excellent ride. power and handling. There are receipts for over $25. 00 worth of parts and labour that comes with the car to keep it looking. nbsp;riding and driving like it came out of the factory. and that doesn't even include the price of the car.
