- I bought this car fromSt. Louis Car Museum for $65,000. This was the luxury car of the day with power seats, windows and roof (hydraulicnot electric). It has a really cool feature, when you press the gas pedal down all the way it starts the car.I had to re core the radiator, replace the heater core, re-build the transmission, over haul the engine, replace the rear shocks, pinion seal, replace all the fluids and other small stuff. I put over $25,000 into repairs. I'm getting a divorce and I have to sell it. This is your chance to get a great deal. I don't have the time to co-sign it to a collector car seller. This model was about the same in 1948,49,50. It's great to have a 6 passengerconvertible to drive around in. The radio doesn't work( I have two other radios that I bought that go with it, I hope they work, The speedometer isn't working, but I have replaced the cable and have a whole extra dash that goes with it. The car has like new radial tires which give it a nice smooth ride. It is a 3 speed on thecolumn, has nice power and cruises well at highway speeds. No rust. Brakes are great. I got more honks and waves in this car than my Ferrari. Everyone loves the PACKARD'S and they are so rare to see. Parts are surprisingly readily available and collector car insurance is really cheep from Hagerty Insurance or Grundy Insurance.Message me or call 410.991.2931 for more information. No trades.
