Description of 1956 Plymouth Other

Welcome to this auction for a one-of-a-kind car.  This is a 100% original 1956 Plymouth Savoy two-door hardtop club coupe. Power steering, tandard brakes and 3 speed on the column and radio delete. The previous owner installed a correct Plymouth AM radio in the 1980s.  This is an ex Harrah's car.  For those of you that may not know,William F. Harrah, he creator of Harahs Casino's, ad a passion for rare and collectible cars and at one point had over 1400 cars and displayed his cars in Reno and in his casinos.  This car was built in California at the Plymouth plant in Los Angeles right around the day James Dean died at the end of 1955.  This car was then sold in Long Beach California at R.O.Gould Chrysler-Plymouth. It was sold to a gentleman who had lived in Costa Mesa and had the car since it was new. In the early 70s he realized his car was special because of its low miles 16,000 and excellent shape and contacted  Harrah's who then purchased the car for his collection ( I have documentation of this).  It stayed in his collection until he died and the collection was dissolved in the estate in the late 1970s.  1/2 of the cars created the National Auto Museum we have today, he other half of the cars were auctioned. This is one of those cars that was auctioned in 1983 .  Ex Harrah's cars create quite a stir in the automobile community simply by the fact they were in his collection.  I have the original build sheet or "broadcast sheet"  that was found under the rear seat which has been verified with the national Chrysler Historical Society and they in turn gave me a copy of the original broadcast sheet from the Chrysler factory the day the car was built.    I also contacted the National Auto Museum i.e. the Harris collection and got them to verify ownership and they offer a service where the research the previous ownership of the car for you, ncluding anything acquired while at the Harrah's Museum.   The service is not cheap but I felt it was necessary for the provenance of the car and I have internal communications and letters between Harrah's and the original owner and I have all of the documentation and photos. The museum then places all this information in a nice leather bound volume.    The car has the original style black with yellow license plates  issued in California (rare!).  The car currently has 27,000 verified original miles on it and it runs like new. The paint and interior are original as is all of the chrome.   On the frame you can still see the chalk pencil markings from the factory!   I have the original 1000 mile 1st oil change tag from February of 1956! (which you can see in one of the Harrahs photos) This car is the real deal. Feel free to ask any questions as I would love this to go to the right party who will cherish and continue its legacy. This isn't just a car, s a piece of American history, nmolested and as it came off the assembly line.  Included is all the documentation photos literature proving the cars lineage. The spare tire is the original spare from 1956.  One of the more amazing things on the car is the fact that it has the original vinyl floor intact which is practically unheard of at this state of age. I've set a modest reserve based on the collectibility, arity, nd documented provenance of this vehicle.   Any black and white photos were taken in 1973 when Harrah bought the car for comparison. On Oct-13-15 at 14:28:08 PDT, eller added the following information:
