Description of 1968 Plymouth Fury

This is the kind of car that gives Mopars their rare reputation. After all, hen was the last time you saw a 1968 Plymouth Fury III Fast Top coupe for sale? Especially one that looks this nice and factory-correct.While it seems like every third car built in the late '60s was pea green, his lovely code KK1 Misty Turquoise Fury subtly stands out. Part of this distinction is likely because of a recent respray of its factory-correct color. There's a sense of how much care this car has received over the yeas when you see all the original sheetmetal on this exceptionally long Plymouth coupe. In fact, he car's length is emphasized by the original single band of trim running from stem to stern. The Fury III was the premium trim so that's where you get great looking accessories like the rear fender skirts and premium wheel covers. All of this is wrapped in the interesting optional Fast Top body whose sport appearance lived up to its name.Full-sized comfort was the name of the game in 1968. The highly-stylized split bench seat has two different textures of black vinyl to give a clever two-tone appearance. The seats and door panels look excellent, hich is once again a testament to this coupe's level of care. The back seat is just as nice and even as a two-door there's plenty of stretch out room for rear-seat passengers. All the controls are grouped in front of the driver and all factory gauges are nice and clear. While this one appears thoroughly original right down to the AM radio, ne nice upgrade is the ice cold air conditioning now runs on modern R-134a. All of these features really make this big Plymouth an ideal long-distance cruiser. The 318 cubic-inch V8 shows signs of being the original motor, ut one look at the engine bay and you know there have been some worthwhile upgrades. This includes a new aluminum pulley setup, elts, nd alternator. The motor breathes nicely thanks to inhaling through the original spec two-barrel carburetor and exhaling through an upgraded stainless steel dual exhaust with a sweet rumble. The total package makes for a reliable and smooth runner that still has the legs to pull ahead of traffic when you want. It's backed by a three-speed automatic transmission and power steering to emphasize the easy-going road manners of these Plymouths. This is a classic car that gets attention because no one else at the car show brought one. But more than just being an endangered species, his large Plymouth is one of the most affordable and complete vintage Mopar coupes you might ever see. Call today!!!
