Up for auction is this very cool 'art deco' 1940 Plymouth Road King Business Coupe. One of the most desirable body styles going right now. One look at its cool curves and you can see why. This one is in exceptional shape & has never seen salt. The car has its original 201 C.I. flathead six. It starts easily, dles cool and smoothly. It runs out strongly with plenty of power, teers good and brakes good. It is fun to drive. The clutch is good & all glass is good with exception of drivers side door glass has a crack. The gauges including the amp, il pressure, as and speedo all work as do the headlights and taillights. The oil pressure reads 40# at startup and 30# at normal operating temp. The gauges are in nice shape. The dash could use a little paint touch up, owever is un-molested. The body of the car is very solid. It has been repainted approximately 15 years ago and still looks very sharp. The underside of the car is absolutely amazing. Zero rust through any where. The trunk pan, loor pans and rocker panels are solid. The chrome bumpers, rill and headlight rings are nice. See pics. The tires are in fair shape and hold air good, ut if Iwere to keep the car, 'd put a set of radials and new shocks. The interior has been redone and is very presentable. Behind the drivers seat is the spare tire and access cover to the trunk. Very cool feature. This is not a show car, owever is a good running, ery solid, ery rare and desirable art-deco business coupe. A very nice car for the price. Don't wait and miss out.
