Description of 1967 Plymouth GTX Convertible 440 4 speed |
1967 Plymouth GTX Convertible 440 4 speed unrestored Survivor This is a one family owned well cared for '67 GTX convert. And it has never been restored and is a99.9% rust free original sheet metal survivorthat hasnever beendriven in the winter. It is a factory 440, 4 speed console car and has the rare console tachometer and bucket seat headrests. It has its factory original engine, original trans and original 3.54 Dana rear end. There are only 87K miles on it! The current owner has had it since 1976 when he bought it from his Uncle in North Dakota. Now being and unrestored survivor you will have to expect some chips, scratches, dings and some grease on the engine and trans and this car won't disappoint! It shows some patina like a nice original car would but still presents itself very well and along with its good looks it runs anddrives great. The original paint has held up well and still holds a nice shine. The power top works perfectly and looks like new. The bumpers look great and have the optional bumper guards. The underside is rust free and it is anon-undercoated car. A few years ago the owner decided to clean up the engine compartment and he didtouch the engine up for it to look better. He also put on a new carb and electronic ignition but he did save the original carb, air cleaner and distributor and they will go with the car. This is a greatoriginal car and a very rare car too with only 680 total '67 GTX Convertibles everbuilt. Being a real 4 speed convertible you know therewould have only been a handful of those 680 built and thisone for sureis one of the last unrestored originals left in the world! It is one of the best color combinations too, Red with Black top, Black interior and Black Stripes. The car alsohas its original fender tag and broadcast sheet.
