Description of 1966 Plymouth Satellite

Very rare 1966 Plymouth satellite that was purchased new by a gentleman in GA while in the Air Force during Vietnam war. He obviously wanted to smoke the tires and go fast since he bought the next bad boy to the hemi. 383 commando 4 bbl, 4 speed, dual exhaust , no power steering or brakes. This was the road runner before it came out. The car was last on the road in 1977 . I purchased the car in south Ga and brought it back to FL where it has been in my garage since 2003. I was selling it to a friend about 8 mos ago and he was doing work to it to make it a fun driver. He got it runnin, installed some new interior and then he asked me to buy it back since he fell on hard times. I don't need the money but want to sell some things to downsize my life.

The car starts right up and sounds good and healthy. It drives around my yard but only has one maybe two wheels braking. I was told it had all new brakes when I got it in 2003 but never had fluid put in it. When we put fluid it had a hard pedal until one wheel cylinder broke loose. The brakes will need work . It will drive on a trailer if you know how to drive and are not a wild idiot.

I was told the 383 gave up to a wild burnout in early 196, the block was replaced under warranty using all other original part, heads, intake carb, etc. All date codes look correct but block says Jan 1967 . I am being honest about everything I know unlike some cars I see at the auctions for WAY more money.

I have the super rare am/fm radio and a rebuilt 4:10 sure grip to go with the car. A new good quality gas tank and strap not installed. New expensive chrome for c pillars . Have extra parts also. The chrome air cleaner and mopar covers go with car also. I have to get more pictures of all the parts and real nice trunk panel trim etc.

The picture of the finished car is a nice one taken from the internet to show what my car will look like

Car is running off a gas bottle under the hood since new gas tank has not been installed yet.

I have the clear FL title, original certicar, small corner of broadcast sheet showing trans code, original carb tag, and fender tag that has some rust out from water sitting on it.

Car has original paint except for primer spots to cover surface rust in 2003. Trunk floor is excellent , frame rails and front suspension frameexcellent, this is not a salt car, never out of middleGA and Fl. Driver side lower panel and wheel arch had GA red clay packed in it and stayed wet causing rust.I have a patch panel for it. It sat outside in GA before I got it and water got in sat on floors and rusted some holes. Previous people used some fiberglass to patch and it is solid as a rock and you would not know unless you pull up carpet or me not telling you. If you touch up factory undercoat on bottom you would not know either.

I also have 4 chrome magnum rims and center caps, that go with it. This is a rare factory 4 speed mopar which not many 4 speeds survived this original . Remember it is not a restored car but a kind of surviving original barn find. I would not do a 6000 rpm clutch dump until I checked out or went through the 383 and fixed the brakes.
