Description of 1974 Pontiac Firebird |
We picked this one up for one of my sons last year as a project, ut he came home with a Chevelle in the springso thats the one we are going to build for him now. Mechanically its good. 350 is strong, ranny is strong, e just put new exhaust on it and a new master cylinder. Its ready to drive. We did all that before he came home with the new project car. Aluminum rims and decent tires that will go for a while yet. Interior is decent as you can see in the pictures. We put antique plates on it and have been driving it for the past year. We did not start any bodywork yet. As you can see from the picture of the trunk, t is solid. Floors arepretty goodalso - might need one small patch in future. As for the rest of the body, ou have to decide what panels you want to repair vs replace, ut as you can see the body needs some attention. All new panels and doors are availablefrom the aftermarket companies for not much money. There is no lock on the trunk right now and there is no key for the doors (we have ignition key).A new lock set is under $50. Its going to need bushingsupfront in the future. Its a project!I included two pics ofeach side of theframe by the rear wheels. This area will need some attention. There are weep holes to drain water and you can see on theone side the holes are rusted through. Eventually you will have to fix that. Miles show 69,304, have no clue if that rolled over or not before we got it! The car is located in Rome PA 18837. You are more that welcome tosetup an appointment with me to come and inspect it! I will gladly let you go over the car with a fine tooth comb. You are bidding to buy - don't buy it and then say you don't want it. As I said, t needs work - but if you can get some body work done you will have a nice carthat is going up in value everyday. Cash at pickup within 7 days unless other arrangements made in advanceand full payment is due within 7 days of the auctions end. |
