1963 Pontiac Bonneville Convertible V8 Rare 4 speed Manual showing 33,589 miles offered by Gas Monkey Garage!The name was taken from the Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah, he site of much early auto racing and most of the world's land speed record runs, hich was named in turn after U.S. Army officer Benjamin Bonneville. This Rare 4 speed Convertible was built with performance options such as the 8 Lug Alloy Wheels to aid in cooling the massive optional Aluminum Power Brakes, ower steering, ocking Rear Differential, ual Exhaust and HO Air Cleaner! And aside from a few convenience items such as an AM/FM radio, lock, anity mirrors and lighting it was built for the open road! This nicely preserved example has what appears to be the original 389 V8 engine that fires right to life and idles smoothly and quietly. A brief test drive reveals a solid ride with the engine pulling strongly through the gears and firm, onfident braking. The exterior has a glossy paint that appears to have been resprayed in the past at some time and is in need of some love with scratches, ading and nicks present but appears to be free from the dreaded rust (see all pics)! The windshield is cracked and the rear convertible window is faded but the rest of the glass and trim are in good condition.The interior is complete and solid with most panels and trim present and would benefit from some TLC as well. The convertible top is showing its age as well and while it goes up and down smoothly by hand, he power mechanism isn’t working and like the rest of this car it should be completely serviced prior to any extended driving to ensure reliability and safety (due to our filming schedule, e’re unable to perform any additional service on this car, OLD AS IS/WHERE IS)!Don’t miss this rare opportunity!
