Mostly original and rust free 1979 Trans am This is about the most original Trans Am you will find. When I bought this car it was completely original. It has spent most of it's life in a climate controlled garage. After I purchased it, installed new Firestone tires, eal 2 1/2"dual exhaust with flowmaster mufflers, alance tube, nd new stainless TA tips( I had the tips tucked up further than the originals so that only the very ends of them are showing.), ew console lid, nd drivers sideouter door handle.(old one was cracked), nd new plugs and Taylor plug wires. The rest of the car is still original. The guy I got it from says all the paint and decals are original. Not 100%sure of that though. Just going on what I was told. There are a few light scratchesand water marks in the paint but it still presents itself very well. I have never waxed it and I am sure it would look even better if that was done. I have only seen a few of these this color and all of them had grey birds and decals. This one has orange and yellow ones that compliment the exterior color better. The interior is near perfect and even had the plastic on the carpets when I got it. It has one of the most complete and beautiful interiors in it I have seen on a car this old. Only thing missing is one of the seat belt holders on the passenger seat. The only thing not working is the tach and I have not taken the dash apart to try and find out why. The AC blows cold. Floor pans, rame, runk, nd behind the rear bumper are perfect and rust free. T-Tops do not leak and all the weather stripping is still soft as the day the car was built. This TA still runs and drives like new. I have had it on many trips 4 hrs or more with no issues. It had 49,000 on it when I got it. The 4.9 is no powerhouse but it runs great and will still cruise at 80-90 MPH effortlessly. You will be hard pressed to find a nicer one that hasn't been restored. If you have anymore questions feel free to ask.
