Description of 1979 Pontiac Trans Am |
One of the rarest and most desirable Pontiac Trans made in 1979. PHS documented Y84. numbers matching motor. Bought new at Paretti Pontiac in Metarie. Louisiana then found its way to Mississippi. Been in the south it's whole life as far as I know. Garage find. Been sitting a while. Starts right up and idles great. I drove it home but do not recommend you do it. Brakes are grabbing and sticking. Tires have flat spots. Make no mistake. it is a project car. Paint is shiny but would say a $3k job with decals. T-Tops. deluxe vinyl interior. power windows. power locks. titl wheel. Needs full interior to include seats. dash. console. door panels and carpet. Headliner. visors. package tray and plastics are in good shape. Someone cut metal dash speaker hole for a 6x9. Dash corners are great so repairing the dash with a grill should be easy to do. I would replace suspension and exhaust. Rear driver foot pan needs replacing and passenger quarter was sectioned with seam in trunk and seat back/package tray. It all lines up but needs braising/paint to cover. Guessing it was wrecked at some point. Some bubbles under paint behind rear passenger. Speedometer not hooked up. Odometer has rolled over. Fuel gauge. temp and oil gauge works. Second hand on clock works but not minute/hour hands. I have a reserve set. If it does not meet reserve then I have over valued it. If I hit reserve then I am right on the price. If it surpasses reserve. I under valued it. Being sold where is. as is. I reserve the right to end the listing as it is listed for sell elsewhere. I will answer any questions that I can based on what I know about the car. It was just found and acquired. so I am limited to mainly what I have described. I will assist with shipping once paid in full. $1. 50 deposit required with 48 hours of auction closing. |
