Sold new in San Francisco, CA at Stevens Pontiac-GMC, INC.
Spent its entire life inin Northern California.Second owner whom was a marinaat the time, purchasing it out of the local classified in 1974. Drove it thru 85' when a water pump went bad. As well as having carb issues causing it to have trouble passing CA emissions (DMV paper trail showing temporally permit to move). A weekend project turned out 31 year sleep. He started to remove bolts, hoses & the water pump - just never got it back on the road.Never had any intention on selling it, after many people knock on his door time to time. Recently, came to the conclusion that it was just time to let go ashealth played a factor.
Was repainted once in 1980 ( receipt present ). As you can see by the photos, has plenty of surface rust & looks to had some bodywork to the driver quarter. Door/fender on the passenger side but opens. All the undercarriage is original & in pretty clean shape ( floors, rockers, inner wells).
Original interior - uncut dash. Factory Stereo Am/FM radio & factory Hurst shifter.
NOT RunningIt was running when parked 30+ years ago.It does Rolls, stops& tires hold air.
Needs complete restoration & pretty much all complete to the eye. Never been restored or been in the hands of a classic car shop. Straight out of the backyard of the second owner.
Very rare chance to own a Early 1972 Trans AM Numbers Matching 4 Speed Car
