Description of 1973 Pontiac Firebird formula 400 |
5 SPEED MONSTER SMALL BLOCK RESTOMOD!!! I've had it for 10 years, drove it quite a bit and decided to put it away and upgrade/restore about 6 years ago. Non op now You absolutely feel like the King Of the Road driving it Awesome V8 sound, very street able big power engine:good smooth idle, smooth acceleration through rpm rang, no flat spots, very civilized mod with a lot of usable power. Engine: Small block 400 bored 0.060 over 400+ HP High compression pistons (10.5:1) New Engle mild performance cam Rebuilt top end Solid lifters Roller rockers Holley 750 (just rebuilt) Victor Junior intake manifold Full headers dual 3 “ flow master exhaust MSD ignition and distributor. New wires and plugs Freshly tuned New aluminum oversized radiator Driveline: 5 speed Richmond Gearbox Hurst short throw shifter Less than 5K miles on suspension: 1 Guldstrand engineering (Corvette specialist ) street sport springs up front Custom leaf springs with slapper bars out back Billstein HD shocks Newer bushings, ball joints, tie rod ends. Posi traction rear end, Center Line billet wheels New BFG tires Power disc brakes Power steering Body: Formula fiberglass dual snorkel hood Rear spoiler Newer respray but poorly prepped so it needs a do over (paint job) for show. California car with very little rust see pics : little on fenders attachment inside engine compartment lower right quarter Right side B pillar by the roll up window. Small spot on the lower left fender behind the wheel well. That's all I found. Super solid zero rust floor pans, rockers, doors, trunk, wheel wells. Interior: Fresh restored: Upholstrered center console, Trans Am seats restored with custom upholstery New carpet New headliner New dash cap refreshed door panes and quarters. This as an AC car however it needs condenser, compressor and hoses to work. Over $30k invested. Going another direction with my cars. |
