Description of 1960 Pontiac VENTURA 2 DOOR COUPE |
What we have here for sale is anextremely rare numbers matching 1960 Pontiac Ventura 2 doorBubbleTop Coupe in need of restoration, This car has an automatic transmission, the engine is a high-compression two-barrel 389 rated at 283 horsepower at 4,400 rpm and 413 pound-feet at 2,800. Its 10.25:1 compression and requires premium fuel. Fortunately this car was just rescued by our company (Real Estate) and is now bing offered to the highest bidder at a no reserve auction,we believe this is a one owner car that was in the same family since new. the car was adaily driver up until 6 years ago when the father/owner suddenlypassed away, unfortunately for the car it just sat in the driveway to deteriorate. The car has nice sports rims and tires, dualexhaust, there is rust on the body, the interior is original and complete and all there, carpet looks nice, dashboard looks very good, all body trim/chrome and lights are on the car and in decent to good condition, driver's door wassprayed light blue at some point, (can see green showing under the red paint) we can't open the trunk (no trunk/door key, we only have the ignition key) hard to find windshield and back window in good condition but side windows have cracks (easy and cheap to replace) frame looks to be solid. The engine oil level is full and we just wanted to make sure its not locked so we connected a battery and cranked it without any problems (wedidn't want to start and run it without giving it a full tune up first but the ownerensured us there was nothing wrong with the engine andtransmission when parked) Please google these cars and see how rare they are and what they sell for, a nice example will fetch an easy $39,000- $80,000 when restored so its well worth the effort! Sorry but no bidders with under 5 feedback... Serious bidders only please, should you have any question please email/call/text Shawn at 646-4814820 *This car will needrestoration and isoffered in as is where is condition, please email any question/offered you mayhave and or come to inspect it in person if possible. thank you and good luck ***please note that buyer will need to go over all mechanics before attempting to drive it, we are selling it as a full restoration car so no negative feedback please, we can hold the caruntil shipping arranged, buyer pays for shipping, deposit of $1000 within 24 hours of auction's end, fullbalance to be paid within 3 days after, all payments through a bank wire must go through Chase bank to JML INTERNATIONAL, or cash in person (We can work throughPayPal but buyer will need to pay for all feesassociated with the transaction ) On Jan-19-17 at 15:47:25 PST, seller added the following information: *Just to answer some questions, those parts you see in thepicturelaying on the floor by the driver side are from another car, the front bench seat was taken apart to beupholstered but never did so its just sitting there but not broken or missing anything... allmechanical components are intact on the car and nothing is missing. *the car rolls andsteers freely without any wheel or brakes locking up,I'm sure if we tinker with it a bit we can start and drive it around without any issues. thanks On Jan-21-17 at 19:23:41 PST, seller added the following information: *** THANK YOU FOR ALL THE EMAILS, IM RECEIVING MANY OFFERS BUT I WANT TO SEE WHAT IT WILL DO ON EBAY... I AM TEMPTED TO SELL IT AND END THE AUCTION BUT AS I STATED I WANT TO SEE WHAT IT DOES. On Jan-22-17 at 11:08:07 PST, seller added the following information: *** TO ANSWER SOME QUESTIONS, AS FAR AS WE CAN SEE THE FRAME AND RAILS ARE SOLID, THE RUST IS ON THE BODY ONLY ANDACCORDING TO A RESTORER THAT CAME TO LOOK AT IT SHOULD BE FAIRLY EASY TO REPAIR, WE MANAGED TO START THE MOTOR WITH A FUEL CAN AND SOME STARTING FLUID FOR A FEW MINUTES AND IT SOUNDED GREAT !THIS CAR IS NOT A BASKET CASE, IT IS WELL WORTH RESTORING, WE SPOKE TO THE PEOPLE AT AUCTION AMERICA AS WELL AS BARRET JACKSON AND THEY SAID THIS IS THE "HOLLY GRAIL OF PONTIACS LATLEY THATS WHAY YOU DON'T SEE ANY FOR SALE OUT THERE"... THEY ADVISED TO RESTORE AND SELL FOR MAJOR PROFIT. |
