This Pontiac Tempest Custom is a very rare, original piece of automotive history with a binder full of prominence to show off its extremely well-maintained service records, bill of sale, literature, specifications and handbook. You simply won't find another with 39K miles in near perfect condition with no rust anywhere, an interior like-new and a numbers matching 326 V-8 that simply purrs like 326 sleeping kittens. She runs like new with impeccable braking (power), shifting and handling (one finger power steering). Everything works perfectly on the car, including the air conditioning unit and all of the basic amenities. As you can witness from the pictures, the undercarriage is extremely solid with no rust... not even surface rust. And, look at the trunk with absolutely not a speck of rust anywhere... the Tempest is a show stopper. Even all four doors have that classic sound, when a car that's straight with no gaps latches nice and tight. I hope that the new owner will continue on with keeping her an effulgent show stopper. Feel free to call me (Peder) at 313-729-3671 for more information, to set up an appointment or have her inspected. If I'm not available, feel free to call Tom at 313-805-4265 and he can help you out with any questions you may have regarding the Tempest. Please keep in mind that this is a no-reserve auction and your bid is a legally binding agreement to purchase the car. I've had a couple of curmudgeons in the past who either wanted to negotiate after the sale or expected a $50,000 Barrett-Jackson trailer queen, so please ask any and all questions before considering a bid. Also, I encourage inspections of the car and feel free to look closely at the 31 pictures that I've posted to ensure that you're satisfied with your bid. Regarding payment... I expect a $1000 deposit via Paypal within 24 hours of the sale and the balance paid in cash orCLEAREDcertified check within 3 days with no exceptions. If you are flying into Detroit Metropolitan Airport to pick her up and drive her home, I'll be happy to meet you there and drive you to the Tempest (only a 20 minute ride). Also, I'll be happy to assist with the pickup and loading of the car if you're having it shipped, but the buyer is responsible for all expenses. Thank you and good luck during the auction. |
