Description of 1986 Pontiac Grand Prix NASCAR 1 of 1000

NASCAR AERO COUPE - One of one Thousand.You will see 100 of the Chevrolet NASCAR AERO COUPE's before you will find or see a PONTIAC NASCAR AERO COUPE.Mfg as sold as 1986 1/2 Gran Prix AERO COUPE.The Pontiac has a one piece special production rear glass. Worth $1500 alone as parts. The Chevrolet back glass is three piece flat glass.Pontiac is very special glass.The rear deck lid and spoiler is unique but also the front nose.All other 1986 Gran Prix Body Parts exchange.The engine has been replaced by a 1995 LT1.350 cu. in. It has Corvette accessories and brackets.The manifold is GM Performance Carburetor conversion. Carb was stolen in storage.It no longer has optisparkbut has been converted to HEI.Custom exhaust with no converters and flow master mufflers. Has a Posi rear.Car ran stout until it blew the original transmission.Body is 95% or better rust free. Sun roof and black were done years ago.Interior is fair and probably a good cleaning would do wonders.HasCompetition Group badge on dash.Needs restoration or would make an awesome street car since it is street legal.Will add pictures of engine compartment within 24 hours.

12/14/17 Added additional pictures of engine compartment and of outside. Received additional information that all the NASCAR 2 plus 2's were built in Canada by GM. They were not finished and shipped in plastic to a speciality shop called AUTO FA, ORTONVILLE, MICHIGAN. The special nose, back glass, trunk lid plus graphics were added. Had inqiries as to my reserve. I have a low reserve. I estimated the value of the NASCAR package (Nose, one piece back glass, and trunk lid plus graphics) and the LT1 engine with the GM performance part intake, Corvette accessories and HEI conversion. That is my reserve.

The car has been sitting for 5 years. I don't know if the engine is free. It is full of oil and antifreeze.

I woiuld pull the plugs and fill the cylinders with KROIL and let it sit a day or so and then try to turn it over. Frozen or not it keeps from breaking a ring.
