Description of 1964 Pontiac GTO |
This car was in storage for the last five years. The gentleman that owned it had is disassembled and had most of it sand blasted. It was taken apart carefully and most parts are tagged or marked. Many fasteners are in labeled plastic baggies. It is a PHS documented 389 Tripower, 3 speed stick car from the factory. This is a real GTO.It was produced in Nocturne Blue with the blue interior. The car comes with a 1965 Tripower setup rebuilt from a very reputable builder, new in the box as shown in photos. The three speed trans is with the car. The motor is not with the car. He was goingto put a 68 GTO 400 in it. There is a tach in the dash, The body is a southern body with a presentable body for the year. The trunk pan will need to be replaced as it has multiple perforations in it. The lower quarters will need to be replaced. The doors, hood and trunk lid are solid. The hood has dents that will have to be removed. The frame is solid. I have mounted chrome reverse wheels with baby moons and nearly new tires. It is an easy roller with this setup. This car is a great start at a very fair price for a prized restoration. The car comes with the rare, oneyear teak steering wheel with its original center button. It will need restoration. I have been offered$400 just for the wheel but do not want to separate the car out for parts. There is pictured the parts, seats, door panels, etc to complete the car. It has both bumpers and all of the glass and stainless trim for the car. The title is clear TN title. Happy bidding and thank you for looking. |
