This Judge is offered with the 1969 sales invoice, PHS documentation including the window sticker, build sheet, period literature, and a clean title in my name. This GTO received a new coat of Carousel Red (72) paint while under previous ownership. Notable cosmetic features of the $337.02 Judge trim package included a trunk “airfoil†wing, blacked-out grille, tricolor graphics, and “Judge†labels adorning the front fenders. 14″ Rally II wheels are equipped sans trim rings in Judge trim, and this example’s are wrapped in BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires r Front disc brakes are equipped. The cabin is trimmed in Black Morrokide upholstery (258) with matching carpets. Options and features include a hood-mounted tachometer, power steering, deluxe seatbelts with front shoulder restraints, center console, remote side mirror, and a Hurst T-handle shifter. The passenger sun visor is signed by Pontiac Chief Marketing Manager Jim Wangers. The five-digit odometer currently reads just over 7k miles and, is believed to have rolled over once. The 400ci Ram Air III V8 was rated at 366 horsepower when new and is paired with a four-speed Muncie manual transmission and a Safe-T-Track limited-slip rear end. An oil change reportedly was performed in preparation for the sale. The engine stamping match the number listed on the vehicle’s original sales invoice. Additionally, the WS suffix on the same pad stamping corresponds with the L74 400ci engine for manual-transmission applications. The February 1969 sales invoice shows a purchase price of $3,874.12 from Kern Motor Company in Winchester, Virginia as well as detailing factory options and specifications. An $1,800 credit was received for the trade-in of a blue 1967 GTO coupe. |
